Allt Concert on the Isle of Man

Julie Fowlis, Éamon Doorley, Zoë Conway & John Mc Intyre

Julie is looking forward to travelling to the Isle of Man later this year for a special concert alongside Éamon Doorley, Zoë Conway and John Mc Intyre. They will also be joined by wonderful guests, Manx Gaelic singer Ruth Keggin and Scottish harpist Rachel Hair, for what promises to be a memorable evening of music and song.

Created as part of Blein ny Gaelgey (Year of the Manx Language), the concert will explore the deep cultural and musical ties between Scotland, relena dnad the Isle of Man through a programme inspired by Gaelic poetry.

Recent Radio Appearances

Julie recently joined Jeremy Vine and Mark Radcliffe on BBC Radio 2 for an enjoyable conversation, which included a live performance of Gràdh Geal Mo Chridhe with Donald Shaw, recorded at the BBC Pacific Quay Studio – and an unexpected moment attempting to teach both presenters a little Gaelic mouth music! Online Masterclass with Zoë Conway

Julie will be hosting an online masterclass with the wonderful Zoë Conway, organised by Moniack Mhor, Scotland’s creative writing centre, on Thursday 12th March 2026 from 7–9pm.

Together, they will explore the meeting point between music and poetry, drawing on traditional and contemporary Gaelic and Irish texts. The session will offer insight into their approaches to composition, with examples from their own work and an opportunity for participants to ask questions.

US Tour Dates Announced for February 2026

We are delighted to announce a run of US tour dates for February 2026, with performances planned across the Western states. The tour will include California, Nevada, Oregon, and Montana – which is especially exciting as it will be Julie’s first time performing there.
Touring in the US is always a special experience for Julie, and she is greatly looking forward to returning, playing for some familiar faces, and meeting new audiences along the way.

Live Album Crowdfunder Campaign for 2026 Scottish Tour

We are excited to share one of the most exciting elements of Julie’s upcoming Scottish tour – her plan to record every single show and create a live album at the end of it! This long-held dream feels especially meaningful as she captures the music right here at home in Scotland.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood

As Julie’s US tour comes to an end, with one final date in Georgia tomorrow, we’re excited to highlight her recent collaboration with composer Bear McCreary on the Outlander prequel series, Blood of my Blood. She recorded the original theme song, For My Love That’s Lost, which blends English and Gaelic lyrics and sets the emotional tone for the show. Her voice also features on several other pieces throughout the soundtrack, adding depth to the series’ distinctive sound.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood can be streamed in the UK on MGM+ via Prime Video, with the last episode available from Saturday 11th October. In the US, the series premiered on Starz on 8th August, with the final episode scheduled to air on Friday 10th October.

Julie on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune

Julie recently had the pleasure of joining Petroc Trelawny on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune for a live broadcast from the Royal Highland Hotel in Inverness, performing alongside Éamon Doorley, Duncan Chisholm, and Ingrid Henderson.
