EDINBURGH’S HOGMANAY Julie Fowlis plus special guest Pippa Blundell

December 30 @ 6:00 pm

Multi-award-winning singer and musician Julie Fowlis will be visiting Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, alongside a sensational band comprising Éamon Doorley, Michael McGoldrick, Tony Byrne and Duncan Chisholm. 2026 has seen Julie pass the 25-year mark as a professional musician, and look back on 21 years since the launch of her first album Mar a Tha Mo Chridhe (As My Heart Is). Edinburgh’s Hogmanay audiences can expect unique moments and spontaneous energy that only a live show can produce. Deeply influenced by her upbringing in the Hebrides and Highlands, Julie has become one of Scotland’s most celebrated cultural voices.

Scotland’s inaugural Tosgaire na Gàdhlig (National Gaelic Ambassador), Julie will forever be recognised for singing the theme songs to Brave, Disney Pixar’s Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA winning animated film. She also recently collaborated with Bear McCreary on the main title theme song for Netflix’s new Outlander spin off, Blood of my Blood.

Julie Fowlis said: ‘It’s always a joy to be in our capital city, but it’s particularly special to be performing as part of our world-famous Hogmanay celebrations. Come along and join us!’

Special guest Pippa Blundell is a rapidly rising singer-songwriter embedded in Glasgow’s thriving contemporary music scene. A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, she initially trained in mezzo-soprano voice with aspirations of becoming an opera singer before finding her true path in contemporary songwriting and composition.
