TV
Julie is regularly involved in television work, both as a presenter and a performer. Her most recent projects include co-presenting the popular annual MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards (December 2011) and she will once again be fronting the programmes celebrating all the winners from the Scots Trad Music Awards 2011, in a series to be aired in 2012.
She will also co-host the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards (live from the Lowry, Manchester) with the legendary Mike Harding in February 2012.
2011 also saw Julie presenting a series of bilingual series of programmes in Gaelic and Gaeilge (Irish) with her good friend and collegue Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh 'Taigh-ciùil' which featured a selection of great performances recorded live at Scotland's premier Winter festival, Celtic Connections. These were broadcast on BBC ALBA and TG4 in Ireland during 2011.
As a performer, Julie was delighted to contribute to the last series of Songs of Praise, which was recorded in Dunfermline Abbey, which was aired in Summer 2011 and the series celebrating the winners of the Scots Trad Music Awards, as a winner herself of 'Album of the Year 2010' with her third studio album, 'Uam'.
