“Summer Schedule posted!”

A' chàirdean chòir, tha mi air na cuirmean as ùire a chur suas air an làrach-lìn.  Tha sinn gu bhith trang am bliadhna-sa, le fèisean air feadh Alba, Sassain agus A' Bheilg.  Tha sinn a' dol air cuairt ann an ùine ghoirid, a' toiseachadh ann am baile Buxton air an 3mh latha dhen Òg-Mhios.  Dòchas gu bheil sibh uile gu dòigheil agus gu faic sinn aig cuid de na cuirmean sibh!

Hi folks, well the website has just been updated with our Summer gig schedule.  We're going to be busy with concerts and festivals all over Scotland, England and Belgium.  We start back on tour in a short while starting on June 3rd in Buxton.  See the Tour Dates page for all the info.

“Heb Celt Ambassador / Hall of Fame”

The fabulous folks at the reknowned Hebridean Celtic Festival have been kind enough to make me an ambassador for the festival and one of the first three inductees to their newly formed Hall of Fame.

'One of Scotland's most renowned Gaelic music artists, Runrig, has been confirmed to play at this year's Hebridean Celtic Festival. The news comes as the band are listed as one of the festival's first inductees to its new Hall of Fame.

This year is the festival's 15th anniversary. It will see Runrig's first performance there since 2005, and be their major Scottish summer show for 2010.  The four days of music, which take place in Stornoway and surrounding communities (14th-17th July), will culminate in Runrig headlining the programme on the Saturday night.

The anniversary also brings the inception of the Hebridean Celtic Festival Hall of Fame. Festival Director Caroline MacLennan said: "We are delighted to be announcing Runrig for our programme this year, and our Hall of Fame. Runrig will not only provide our audience with a fabulous night out, they will also act as HebCelt ambassadors, taking our reputation as a fantastic festival to other musicians and audiences around the world.

"We are also inducting the talented Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis and the innovative Peatbog Faeries. All three have been selected for their commitment to our festival, and because of the superb shows each have delivered for our audiences over the years. We are very grateful to have their consent in furthering the good name of the Hebridean Celtic Festival and the stage is well set for a stunning event in July."

“Thanks!”

Hi folks!  Just a wee note to give thanks to you all for the lovely messages and kind sentiments.  Myself and Éamon are thrilled with our beautiful daughter, and we are all doing great.  Belated wishes to you all for a great 2010!  Plenty of work coming in for the Summer and beyond, but for now we are just keeping warm from the snow and enjoying our new bundle of joy.  Keep in touch!  Lots of love, Julie xxx
